Ann Slater… authentic, focused, and relatable are just a few words that come to mind! A graduate of Auburn University with a degree in laboratory technology, Ann has journeyed from the structured world of science to the ever-changing realm of real estate. After she and her husband married, the couple spent six years in Washington state while he served in the Air Force. It was there that they bought and lived in fixer-uppers and learned firsthand what makes a house feel like home. A truly exceptional real estate agent there first inspired Ann’s positive view of the profession, and her later studies in construction engineering gave her an eye for how homes are built — knowledge that now helps her guide her clients with confidence. When she moved to Baldwin County, earning her real estate license felt like a natural next step. Ann loves that no two days are alike and that real estate is really a puzzle: listening closely, understanding people’s lives, and helping them find the perfect fit.
Family, adventure, and authenticity shape Ann’s life just as much as her work. She and her husband have two children, ages five and eight, and life at home is filled with backyard fun (yes — there’s a zip line!) balanced with a peaceful rhythm that fits her personality. She’s happiest spending time with family and friends, whether that’s hanging out in Downtown Fairhope, practically living at the beach during the summer, or planning evenings of Mahjong, board games, and cards. Travel is a true joy for her — especially road trips to the Florida Keys, where she loves the laid-back atmosphere, good food, boating, fishing, and simply being yourself. Offshore trips with her family, beach days on the pier, and even unexpected wildlife encounters like catching a stingray all add to the memories she treasures. And when she’s home, you’ll find her in the garden dreaming up where to plant more Lady Banks’ climbing roses and gardenias!
One quality that sets Ann apart is the trust she builds so naturally with people. Friends and family easily turn to Ann for advice, and word has spread far beyond Alabama — even clients from the Pacific Northwest reach out, asking her to give them FaceTime tours and choose their home from miles away. It’s a level of confidence that doesn’t happen by chance, and it speaks to how genuinely invested she is in the people she serves. Some clients don’t meet her in person until the final walkthrough before closing, yet they feel comfortable putting such a big decision in her hands — something that still excites her every time. Whether she’s all-in on a challenge or thoughtfully cautious when the moment calls for it, Ann approaches every relationship and every transaction wholeheartedly, making everyone in her sphere of influence feel supported, understood, and right at home.
