Born and raised in Baldwin County, Joe Sturgis has deep roots along Fish River, where he spent his childhood exploring the outdoors and forming a lifelong love for the communities that make this place so special. His family is also spread across Baldwin County, so there’s hardly a corner that he doesn’t know like the back of his hand. Joe’s familiarity also extends into Mobile County, where his years of military service gave him the chance to live, work, and build lasting connections. He’s proud to call the Gulf Coast region home, with its perfect blend of small-town charm and coastal vibrancy.
A proud veteran with 27 years of combined service in the Army National Guard and the U.S. Coast Guard, Joe brings the same integrity, discipline, and dedication he learned in uniform to every real estate transaction. His background in criminal justice and investigative work, combined with his history in home inspections, gives him a sharp eye for detail—he’s skilled at spotting things most people wouldn’t notice, a talent that serves his clients well whether they’re buying, selling, or preparing a home to hit the market. Having lived all over the country—from Alaska and Oregon all the way to Florida, in homes of every size and style—Joe understands the challenges of relocating and is especially passionate about helping military families and frequent movers find their perfect place to land.
Outside of real estate, Joe is happiest in the great outdoors—hunting, fishing, and enjoying water sports with his family. Together, he and his wife Jessica make the ultimate real estate duo, balancing each other’s strengths and offering clients “two for the price of one.” Both Foley High School graduates, Joe and Jessica love serving the community that raised them.
