Lesley Hendon’s road to Baldwin County is rooted in both intention and heart. She grew up in Florence, Alabama, and attended Auburn University, where she earned a degree in hotel and restaurant management with a specialty in Events–an early sign of her love for hospitality and people-centered work. After college, Lesley explored several professional avenues, from selling wine in Birmingham (a tough six-month lesson in resilience) to spending 15 years working in her family’s audiology business, where she focused on healthcare marketing. When it came time to choose where to raise her children, she and her family began looking south. After moving from Birmingham’s Homewood community to Fairhope, the decision became clear: the community felt familiar, welcoming, and aligned with the life they wanted. Once Fairhope passed the “one-year litmus test,” there was no question—they were home.
Entrepreneurship has always been part of Lesley’s story. She established Tap and Pour, an upscale event rental and mobile bar business, later selling it to a local couple who continue to run it successfully today. She also partnered in opening Pop and Pour in Daphne, where she worked full time while exploring her next chapter. That chapter came quickly: once Lesley decided to pursue real estate, she moved fast, earning her license and passing the exam on the first try, a milestone she still counts as a major personal win! Her background in marketing, hospitality, and business ownership naturally translated into real estate, where customer service, responsiveness, and trust are everything. Add to that her passion for homes and design (her Birmingham homes were even featured in magazines!) and real estate felt like the perfect fit.
At the core of Lesley’s work ethic are her children and her faith. As the mother of three, family is her biggest motivation, and her values guide how she works with every client. She believes deeply in leading with kindness, treating everyone with equal respect, and supporting people through life-changing moments. A profound life-and-death experience about a decade ago reshaped her perspective, clarifying her priorities and grounding her approach to both life and business. While the experience was incredibly difficult, she describes it as a blessing that taught her not to sweat the small stuff and to live intentionally.
Outside of work, Lesley’s personality shines through in the details. Fall is her favorite season—for the weather shift, football season, and the start of the holidays. Her family has the most fun with decorating early for Christmas, Elf on the Shelf, and cozy holiday movie nights. If you stepped into a “Lesley room,” you’d find antiques, vintage furniture, bursts of color, shelves of old books, and the ingredients for a beautifully crafted cocktail—perhaps with rosemary simple syrup or sugared cranberries. Music is always part of the backdrop, from concerts like Bourbon & Beyond to Tyler Childers, Teddy Swims, jazz, indie, country, and The Lumineers. Whether she’s cheering on her children at sports games or getting the perfect home under contract with her clients, Lesley brings genuine gratitude and generosity to everything she does…and that is why we are so blessed to have her as an agent right here at MBR!
