Your Guide from the Initial Consultation to the Closing Table!
Adriane Blackwood has all the qualities you are looking for in a Professional Realtor! She has a sharp mind, a big heart and a radiant personality. She is as authentic as they come and professes proudly that she and her husband, Patrick, are “Blue Collar Folks.” She is the kind of person you want as an advocate in the often murky waters of real estate; a workhorse with a servant’s heart of pure gold!
After graduating from Hoover High School and attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham (and prior to becoming a mom), Adriane worked as a legal assistant for 6 successful attorneys in Birmingham! During this time, her husband joined the family business, a drywall company called Wall Systems Incorporated. Both Patrick and Adriane are self-described beach bums, having vacationed in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores every summer for as long as they can remember. If you ask Adriane, she will tell you that she can, “feel her soul in the sand.” Their affection for the area grew over the years, so much so that they found themselves longing for a way to make Baldwin County their permanent home. Their prayers were answered in August of 2013, when Patrick accepted a position with Austal USA. Adriane sold their house in Shelby County and the family fully relocated by November.
The couple would eventually settle in Daphne’s Lake Forest subdivision, with their two children. Their house has a basement, which is rare for our area, and it also overlooks the golf course! The family gets a lot of use out of all the amenities that the Lake Forest Property Owners Association maintains, especially the outdoor pool. When they are not sunning at the pool or playing in the surf at the beach, you will find the Blackwood’s at the ball fields cheering on their kids. The kids are thriving in the Daphne School System and the family could not be happier with the amazing outdoor lifestyle that the Eastern Shore and Coastal Alabama provides.
Adriane’s interest in real estate peaked in her adolescence, when she tagged along with her mom as she went to home building shows and interior design firms, in preparation for the construction of the family’s custom dream home. The process from start to finish left a lasting impression on Adriane, leading to her Southern Living Magazine addiction to this day! Adriane knew that her passion for the industry and her own experience with successfully completing a major relocation would greatly benefit others trying to navigate through similar chapters of life. Her approach with each client is always with genuine care, as if it were her own family buying or selling their property.
