Paula Casallo – Agent Spotlight Bio

There is truly never a dull moment with Paula! Warm and cheerful, Paula gives you the feeling that you have known her your whole life. She thrives on building relationships…but she would be the first to tell you that she has not always been this way. In her earliest career days, when her job depended on making sales, she was quite shy and had to work up the courage to start a conversation! Paula laughs when she remembers how she hit the turning point, got comfortable speaking with new people, and hasn’t quit talking ever since! Looking back at the various positions she has held over the years, Paula can clearly see how each one prepared her for success in her ultimate career in real estate.

A Mobile, AL native, Paula studied Elementary Education at the University of South Alabama (Go JAGS!). She worked for a number of years as a librarian and children’s Pastor at Knollwood Christian Academy, with extensive experience also in property management and HR. When Paula’s two children were approaching middle school, she and her husband knew they wanted to find the perfect school system for their family, and they landed on Fairhope! So they packed their bags eight years ago and have lived here ever since. It was during this time that Paula began to take steps towards studying for her real estate license. She had entertained the thought for years, but the combination of her husband’s support and the encouragement from a friend in real estate spurred her to action. She began studying on Mother’s Day four years ago, passed her licensing exam in one attempt, and hit the ground running! With a network of close friendships from years of success in different fields, Paula loves how her career allows her to build new relationships and utilize her skill set.

If there is one thing that stands out about Paula, it is her deep love for her friends and family. From day trips to the beach to Auburn football games and tailgating, to Mahjong tournaments for hours, Paula loves doing the things she loves best with the people she loves most. Her home aesthetic is just another example: walk through her hallways and you’ll find pictures of her loved ones adding charm to every room, along with valuables passed down from her grandparents. A self-proclaimed treasure hunter, Paula searches out home decor pieces with character and history. She knows all the best antique stores and loves surrounding herself with items that tell a story! And day in and day out, Paula is creating a legacy of her own – a legacy based on her faith in God and her investment in the moments in life that matter – that her friends and family can treasure forever as well.
