Ranking my Favorite Ice Cream

Summer’s here, here’s your go-to for all things smooth, creamy, and delicious.

Coming in at #1 is a Fairhope Float from Mr. Gene’s Beans!

One of their signature dishes that I just personally can’t get enough of! A Fairhope staple for 28 years (and counting!), they’ve been serving floats and smiles in the community. Even if you’re not a local, you need to swing by Mr. Gene’s Beans while you’re in town!

A strong 2nd place, is Blue Bell’s Butter Pecan

A Southern staple, buttered pecan is adored by those both young and old. My only criteria is that it MUST be the Blue Bell brand. No other brand will do.

#3 is Americone Dream from Ben N Jerry’s

Inspired by Stephen Colbert, this creamy ice cream has chunks of caramel and chocolate covered waffle cone pieces. Did I sell you already? I thought so.

A solid contendor, Salted Caramel Cluster from So Delicious is #4

For all my non-dairy friends, do not despair… there is so much hope for you! So Delicious has the best non-dairy options, and this flavor has to be my favorite. Even if you still love your dairy, I recommend trying this one out!

Last but not least, Publix Premium Moose Tracks comes in at number 5

Only true Southerners know about Publix Premium ice cream. Moose Tracks is one of my favorite flavors, but it is always better from Publix.

BONUS: Van Leeuwen’s Kraft Macaroni & Cheese

I’ve heard mixed reviews on this one… some pleasantly surprised and others truly disgusted. Give it a try and let me know your thoughts!

This list has you covered for those hot summer afternoons, and of course I’m always open to new flavors and combos!
