The Bean Team – Agent Spotlight Bio

Marty and Lesley Bean are a true team in every sense of the word—partners in life and in real estate. Their journey into the industry was something they chose to take on together, studying side by side and earning their licenses at the same time. What started as a shared idea for what to do together after Lesley’s eventual retirement quickly became a meaningful career. Their slogan, “Two Perspectives, One Goal: Your Perfect Home,” reflects not only their approach but the balance they bring to every client relationship.

The Bean Team is committed to going above and beyond to ensure their clients feel informed, prepared, and confident. Marty and Lesley believe honesty matters—highlighting both the positives of a property and the things clients should thoughtfully consider. By working together at open houses, showings, and listing appointments, they offer both a male and female perspective and, as they jokingly put it, they have figured out the system that keeps them from stepping on each other’s toes! Their goal is simple: to make sure every client feels supported and well-guided from start to finish.

Marty brings a wealth of hands-on experience to the table. As the founder of Fitness Solutions, he spent 23 years in sales and service, building a business that allowed flexibility and a strong understanding of client needs. His background working with a homebuilder, along with years of remodeling and roofing experience, gives him a trained eye when walking through a property—helping clients understand not just what they see, but what it could become and what it may cost. Lesley complements that with a warm, intuitive approach shaped by her work as a teacher at Belforest Elementary and with her background as a nurse. Real estate also runs in her family, as her mother worked in the industry while Lesley was in college, giving her an early appreciation for the profession.

Originally from the Jacksonville, Alabama area, Marty and Lesley’s path to Baldwin County was years in the making. They often say they had a 10-year plan to live near the beach…it just took 20 years to get there. After raising their three children in Jacksonville, they found their way back to the coast, drawn to the charm of Fairhope, which always felt like home. Today, they are deeply rooted in Fairhope, having even moved Marty’s parents here to be close to family. When they’re not working, you’ll find them enjoying the Gulf Coast lifestyle—spending time at the beach in Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan, traveling (especially to Jamaica), fishing, or dining at their local favorites! They live by the belief that “if it isn’t your door, it’s not going to open,” and they’re passionate about helping their clients find the one that’s meant for them.
